It All Started With

Sommelier Victor Bocos who grew up with a family of hard-working restauranters and earned 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Victor and his wife Julieta met in Cancun, Mexico in the early 1980’s where they managed a few restaurants that differed in concept.
After years of hard work, they decided it was time to take a break from Cancun. They moved to Chicago, Illinois where they spent a few years and continued working in the industry which has always been their passion.
Tired of the cold weather, they decided to move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After feeling frustrated that they couldn’t find and enjoy real Mexican food in the area, they opened Casa Frida Authentic Mexican Cuisine in 2012. It became the restaurant’s mission to bring the real and delicious flavors of Mexican cuisine to South Florida.
